Time for another book recommendation!

This time I want to tell you about a best-selling children's book in Amazon's Stories in Verse category, The Wonderful Things You Will Be by Emily Winfield Martin. Not just Amazon though, it is also a New York Times bestseller!

What is it about? You will find a similar theme to Dr. Seuss's Oh, The Places You'll Go!, a story to encourage children to be kind, clever, and bold. It is told in simple yet beautiful verses that are accessible to preschoolers and will still be memorable as adults. The verses feels like the author puts all our wishes as parents into simple sentences that resonates with us.

Kindle Oasis: Cutting Edge Design

Amazon added a new member to its Kindle E-book Reader family. It is called Kindle Oasis and it is super futuristic!

So how cool is this Oasis? It has the thinnest body among its sisters, 0.33" at the thickest and 0.13" at the thinnest! But why the varying thickness? They said it is to simulate the thickness of book spine and shift the center of gravity to the handgrip part, so it can be held in one hand comfortably.

The ergonomic design doesn't stop there. On the handgrip side, where your thumb can comfortably reach, they added new page turn button to make turning pages easier. The asymmetrical design works with both left and right handed person, you just need to rotate the device to switch hand.

Even though it has the same screen resolution (300 ppi) and size (6") as its predecessors, they added more LEDs. Now it has 10 LEDs to spread the screen light consistently.

Another cool thing is the battery. The Oasis comes with cover that also acts as a powerbank (or on their term, "charging cover"). So basically you have 2 batteries that they claimed to be able to last months from a single charge. The cover is beautiful though, made of leather with color choice of black, merlot, and walnut.

Oh, The Places You'll Go!

Quick, who wrote the most magically illustrated and brilliantly rhymed children books?
If your answer is Dr. Seuss, you would be correct!

This multiple-award winning writer has been inspired and delighted children since 1937, when his children's book was published for the first time. His books were always mesmerizing for me, even as an adult. Perhaps without him, I won't be enjoying reading as much.

One of his books I'll always remember is Oh, The Places You'll Go! It is the perfect send-off inspiration story for everyone aged 1 to 100. Whenever I need encouragement to enter new and unpredictable situation, I can always go back to this book.
